Paused Tones

A Blog From The Googly/The Paused

Dear Johnathon, Stop Playing Heater, Love, The Googly

Had a great time last night relaxing over at Home. Levi Clark was dropping some great tracks I hadn’t heard in a while pretty early and even bought me a drink! Woot! Even though I had to jet out before the night started to pick up steam you could clearly see that this was a very promising night in a city that claims Thursday is the new Friday.

Then over to Buddha Bar the remainder of the night. The opening DJ had a few people dancing but honestly wasn’t my thing, though he did play Laid Back’s White Horse which is always pretty awesome. Still having a chance to chill out with the Sweatbox guys and Travis Baron. Cheese sticks were delicious and the bartender was slow…………….

Oh, and John

I think that’s about all I really need to say

Pictures Coming soon

Tonight! Red Pony @ Home and Pantycontrol & CTRL_ALT_DLT @ Buddha Bar

So tonight (Thursday) you pretty much have 2 awesome options for techno music in Seattle.

First up is Red Pony @ Home

Flyer For HomeFlyer2

For those of you who don’t know who Red Pony is she’s a up and coming Techno artist from Portland who has been wowing me since seeing her play at Broken Disco opening for The Field. She’ll be doing her rocking techno thing for the Baltic Room massive. Honestly, the only other dj I’m familiar with from this night is Levi Clark, who continues to impress with his mixture of tech house and electro which bounces effortlessly back and forth constantly keeping the audience engaged. Come out and support.

Need more convincing, here’s a live set from Red Pony from the Broken Disco set.

Baltic Room, Seattle

After that I’ll be over at Buddha Bar Belltown catching CNRL_ALT_DLT and Pantycontrol doing their thing.

Both artist have been doing really exciting work as Sweatbox and shouldn’t be missed. They are quickly rising to be two of my favorite djs in seattle doing their work with (GASP!) all vinyl with sets that focus more on track selection and providing you with quality music than just playing the newest releases from Beatport. Great guys to boot. Expect to see a lot more of these two around Seattle.

Well, hope to see you guys out tonight.
