Starting A Band & New Goodies
I’ve been a little gone as of late. Working a lot. It’s hard to find the time to keep up with posting and things like that. Actually it’s not that hard to post. It’s just time consuming to upload content all of the time.
But back to the point. Last night I jammed out with some locals for the first time and I had a blast. Going for a Wu-Tang meets Suzanne Vega kind of thing (not really but not far off) It’s such a relief having some other people to share the burden of making music with that it just makes the whole experience fun. We’ll be posting some stuff from us once we (meaning I) have the time to work on some music together again.
Some selected gear from last night include a Roland SH-2, Roland 606, Ensoniq EPS, 2 MicroKorgs, Korg Electribe S, and spatterings of Software.
Other than that I want to introduce you to the newest friends in my audio arsenal.

The long awaited update to BigSeq1. It’s a great tool for me. I couldn’t be more happy with it and it was a bargin at 10 bucks to upgrade from BigSeq1. Takes anything and makes it interesting.
as well as…..

Sonic Charge’s Synplant! Seriously. This guy with change the way you approach software synths. It’s so easy to push this thing into warped Radiophonic territory and the twisted sounds you can make with this guy are to die for.
Thats all for today. I gotta get to work.
Evil Alliance’s Combover

Found this little guy today during my internet wandering. Turns out it’s the work of de la mancha (who makes some of the best freeware you can find on the web, and some stuff that cost money that’s worth picking up as well check his shit out at www.delamancha.co.uk) and some guy I’ve never heard of that runs bleeping edge which really needs to be updated more.
But reagardless. This plug in is mighty cool and definatly worth downloading and throwing it over some stuff to see what type of sounds come out the other end. Step seqencers, comb delays, yada yada… it’s much more fun to just see what it does for yourself.
New Paused track on Soundcloud. Considering RouteNote…
Sort of finished a new track last night. Posted it on SoundCloud (which is a great site by the way) for people to listen to because at some point I’m going to have to stop giving everything I do away. Might be nice to tease people with something new. The track is called Last To Fall and you can link to it down there.
Last To Fall by The Paused
Either way, speaking of not giving things away for free. There seems to be a pretty good site called RouteNote (www.routenote.com) that allows you to put your music online with no upfront costs. Pretty snazzy. I think I might post some of my works on there and see what reaction (if any) I get. With no upfront costs it might be a good way to expose you music to people and it seems to be worth it to me. Yeah they take 10% of the profits, but it sure as hell beats the big fat nothing I get now from them.
Don’t worry I’ll still be posting freebies though. I’m thinking I might work torward putting out dj mixes of original tracks and such rather than straight up giving everything away though.
Mochika 2 Clear. Me want.
I’m pretty sure this lil guy is going to be the next big purchase for me. Just insane sounding.
The Googly – Basement Mix Vol. 5
Ok that’s just annoying. I posted this and everything I typed went missing.
I’ve had this mix in the bag for like 3 weeks and I keep forgetting to post it. I’ve decided to stop doing these until I can figure out how to make it a podcast and to help me focus on making a mix of original tunes which has been the goal for a bit.
But either way here is this mix.
You know the drill by now. Right click and save the link bellow to download.
